Visual Image- Street Art

This giant fissure was created in the German town of Geldern to celebrate their 30th anniversary of a street art competition. It was created by artist Edgar Mueller. It took a team of artists working 12 hours a day, and five days to complete.

I found this image online and thought it was CRAZY, as in awsome!! Its just amazing to see how talented these artists are, in creating images that look sooo realistic.

Personal Image- A Day in the Bay

This photo was taken on the steps at Standford University in California. Me and some friends decided to go on a road trip to California to visit friends and attend the Standford University annual pow wow.

I love this picture. It brings back a lot of memories.

I decided to edit this picture in a sepia color style to make the image look old.

Visual Image- A Ton of Sand

I found this image online in an High speed photography album. This is such a fantastic image of a wave breaking at its shoreline. I love how the photographer was able to catch the build- up of sand within the wave.

Past images I've posted were all really similar which contained a lot of outdoor visuals. And again, i've chosen this image because it reminds me of Home especially the beach which i can't seem to get enough of. And reminding me of the many times that I've gotten slammed to the bottom, from the force and power of the waves, and also getting sand stuck in my bathing suit..... good times!!

Personal Image- "Da Big River"

This is an image i took a couple months ago, while back at home on the Big Island.

I call this place "Da Big River". A place where as a child i used to play and swim all day rain or shine, from morning till night along with my brothers and sister and cousins. Theres little guppies, prawns, tilapia, o'opu (fish), and tad poles in this river.

Back in the day this river used to be much wider and deeper, but as years went by Da Big River seemed to have grown much smaller or it could just be that we've grown up and out grown Da Big River.

Found this picture poster "IRON MAN 2" off the internet . I like how this image depicts three of the most important characters in the movie and not just Iron Man himself.

I watched the opening of this movie last week here in Ashland, OR. Besides me and a few of my friends, there were a lot of high school kids which filled the theatre that night...kinda irritating.

It was a great show, but i thought there was too much conversation between two actors on the show.

Personal Image- Kai at the Park

This is a picture of my nephew Kai Kaha. He's two years old and lives in Utah. He's also the first grandchild and great grandchild from our family. I love him. He's a cutie and an awesome kid too.

I used photoshop to sort of white-out the background area with the paintbrush tool. And left Kai himself colored as it originally was before. It was a fun and simple task.

Assign. 6- collage "nATIVE tHROUGHOUT pOLYNESIA"

This collage is titled "NATIVE THROUGHOUT POLYNESIA".

I created this collage using photoshop and fooled around with the different tools.

I chose the Ti-leaf plant because in Hawai'i it's a very common plant you would see while driving around the islands. This is one of my favorite plants because there are a variety of use for the ti-leaf. One common use is lei making and or using them as an outer wrapper for food such as Laulau (Hawaiian dish).

This is my collage I've created using photoshop.

Its all about friends. These are a few pictures of my college friends. Friends are really important to me. They're there when i need them, day or night. I can count on them. There's some much things we've been through both good and bad.....

The quote I chose for my collage reads "a friend is some one who understands your past, believes in your future and accepts you the way you are" i found it off the Internet and thought it would be a perfect quote...

Here's a another movie poster. A combination of four pictures i created using photoshop.

I've used different layers, filters and other tools to create this poster. I don't really know where the idea came from, but i guess it worked out.

"As Night Falls"

I figured this would be a good title for this movie poster.

I've combined an ugly mutated person from the movie (I am Legend) with an mysterious girl in a cloak and a background with an erie night setting.

Tried to blur out the mutated guy, so that the girl would be more focused upon.

Visual Image- Futurism

This art piece was done by artist Umberto Boccioni, titled "Dynamism of a soccer player".

In art history class I'm learning about different styles of painting during different times in the 20th century of art. I chose this image because of its title and the use of color. I like how the artist forces the viewer to envision a person with a soccer ball. I don't really see it myself, but its a great piece of work to look at.

The color combination Boccioni uses are very similar to eachother; like a dark pastel looking color. His style of shapes are amazing with the help of different shades of colors.

Personal Image- bLACK lIGHT pONG

My roommate and i were playing pong with some pink florescent clear cups and black lights. I didn't know how this picture was going to turn out because of how dark the settings were. But, after i took the picture i was surprised and excited at how good it turned out =D

I didn't edit the picture in anyway.

Pong is a fun, social and competitive game. A game i feel that's made to challenge yourself and others.
